The soprano Gloria Rehm is appearing at Oper Frankfurt for the first time. She has been a member of the ensemble at Hessen's Staatstheater in Wiesbaden since 2014/15, where she can be heard this season singing three roles for the first time: Iris in Jephta, Fiakermilli in Arabella and Oscar in Un ballo in maschera. Roles with which she has enjoyed great success in Wiesbaden in recent seasons have included Blonde and Konstanze, the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), Despina (Così fan tutte), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Woglinde (Wagner's Ring), Humperdinck's Gretel, Musetta (La Bohème) and Cunegonde (Candide). She also enjoyed a triumph when she sang the role of Marie in Zimmermann's Die Soldaten for the first time, at the opening of the 2016 International May Festival. Gloria Rehm is a much sought after Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, a role she has sung in Düsseldorf and Heidelberg. She sang the Queen of the Night at the National Theatre in Taipeh, a role she will sing soon in Heidelberg and at the Volksoper in Vienna. This award winning artist began her career at Cologne Opera, where she also made a name for herself as a Lieder singer.
