Nicholas Bruder received a Falstaff Award in 2011 as Best Lead Performer for his portrait of Macbeth in Punchdrunk's Sleep No More. He was nominated for a Bessie Award in 2016 for his work in Palissimo's Custodians of Beauty. Other highlights have included Richard Jones’ The Hairy Ape in Park Avenue Armory and Martha Clarke's Angel Reapers and Alfred Uhry's & Adrienne Kennedy's Funnyhouse of a Negro, both in the Signature Theatre. Choreographers with whom he has worked have included Adam Weinert, Pavel Zustiak and Patricia Noworol. In 2014 Nicholas Bruder, alongside Harry Hamlin and Hannah Yelland, appeared as a guest artist in a Shakespeare Theatre Company Will On The Hill benefit performance and in Gossip Girl and Smash. He graduated from the California Institute of the Arts.
