The young tenor Attilio Glaser, a member of the ensemble at the Deutsche Oper Berlin since 2016/17, is appearing at Oper Frankfurt for the first time, singing the title role in Massenet's Werther, a role he sang for the first time, very recently, at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt conducted by Lorenzo Viotti. He adds another new role to his repertoire in 2018 for his company in Berlin: Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni. Other recent roles have included Ismaele (Nabucco), Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Narraboth (Salome) and Alfredo (La traviata), a role he sang at the Teatro la Fenice in Venice in 2014. Other recent engagements have taken him to the Opéra de Lausanne for Fenton (Nicolai's The Merry Wives of Windsor) and the Musiktheater in Gelsenkirchen for the title role in Handel's Belshazzar. He has sung at the Beijing Music Festival, the 2016 Rheingau Musik-Festival and Salzburg Easter Festival. Orchestras with whom he has performed have included the Akademie for Alte Musik in Berlin, the China Philharmonic Orchestra, Munich Symphony Orchestra and the Staatskapelle Dresden.
