The dancer and choreographer Marie Stockhausen trained at the Staatliche Ballettschule in Berlin. Theatres where she has worked have included the Staatstheater in Saarbrücken and Staatsoper in Hannover. She has danced in productions by Enrique Gasa Valga, Mats Ek, Marco Goecke, Yuki Mori, Louis Stiens, Chang Ho Shi, Stephan Toss, Birgit Scherzer, Pierre Wyss and appeared at the Festival Internacional de Dansa in Barcelona. She worked as a choreographer at the Staatsoper in Hannover and has played roles in film, on television and in musicals. During the 2006/07 season Marie Stockhausen was a soloist at the Landestheater in Innsbruck, where she danced the lead role in Frida Kahlo. Pasión por la vida – which won a »Goldenen Schikaneder« as best dance production of 2013. Her first full length dance production Charlie Chaplin won Marie Stockhausen an Austrian Theatre Prize for »Best Ballet Production«. Other recent engagements have included Casanova trifft Händel/Cassanova meets Handel at the Festung in Kufstein and Das Ballhaus, Die Fledermaus, Anatevka and, most recently, Ein Sommernachtstraum/A Summer Night's Dream at the Vereinigten Bühnen in Bozen.
