This production of Rinaldo was Annemarie Wood's first work for Oper Frankfurt. This Irish set and costume designer works regularly with Ted Huffman. After Madama Butterfly at Zurich Opera and Salome at Cologne Opera, for which she designed the costumes, they will be staging a new production of Britten's A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Montpellier later this season. She is also the set and costume designer for Billy Budd, directed by Annilese Miskimmon, at Den Norske Opera & Ballet in Oslo. She was back in Zurich recently for Andreas Homoki's production of Sweeney Todd. She designed the sets and costumes for Eugen Onegin at Scottish Opera and Die Fledermaus at Wermland Opera. Annemarie Woods works regularly at Opera Northern Ireland in Belfast, most recently on Radamisto and Don Giovanni. Other stations in her career have taken her to the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the National de Lorraine in Nancy, Welsh National Opera, the Wexford Festival, Lucerne Theater, Oper Graz, the Landestheater Linz and the Badische Staatstheater in Karlsruhe. In 2011 she and the director Sam Brown won the European Opera Prize and Ring Award Graz. She was nominated for an International Opera Award in 2016.
