Baritone
This young baritone, with Hungarian roots, was a member of the Komische Oper in Berlin before he joined the Ensemble in Frankfurt in 2006/07, since when he has enjoyed great success singing roles that include Papageno, Count Almaviva and Guglielmo (in Christof Loy’s award winning production Così fan tutte), role debuts: Hans Scholl (Udo Zimmermann’s Weiße Rose/White Rose), Wolfram (Tannhäuser), Valentin (Faust), Jeletzki (Pique Dame), Marcello (La Bohème), Albert (Werther), Britten’s Owen Wingrave and Jason (first performances in Germany of Reimann’s Medea). Roles here later this season are Dr. Falke in a new production of Die Fledermaus and Morald in Wagner’s early opera Die Feen/The Fairies (in concert). Guest engagements this season include La finta giardiniera with René Jacobs, his debut at the, 100th, Bayreuth Festival as Wolfram and many interesting concerts with Helmuth Rilling, Helmut Deutsch, Paavo Järvi and the hr (Hessen Radio) Symphonieorchester, Lothar Zagrosek, Christoph Eschenbach and the NDR Sinfonieorchester.
