The next Opera for Families performance is Verdi's Don Carlo at 3.30pm on May 5th 2013. Every adult purchasing a ticket can apply for up to THREE FREE TICKETS for children or young people under the age of 19. These tickets can only be obtained from our advance booking office or by telephone from the theatre: (+49 (0)69) 212 49494 – not online or through outside ticket agencies.

The opera will be sung in Italian with German surtitles. Although there is an English synopsis in the back of the programmes it would still be a good idea to prepare younger children in advance, and those under 10 might be a little too young as the opera is very long. There are special cushions available from the cloakrooms for children sitting in the stalls. The seats in the circles are well raked so there should not be a problem for them to see well there.
