Daniel Behle (Tenor)
Sveinung Bjelland (Piano)

Daniel BehleDaniel Behle, a former member of the ensemble at Oper Frankfurt, reached a wider audience around the world when a recording of Die Zauberflöte, conducted by René Jacobs, was released in 2010. Critics have compared him to a young Fritz Wunderlich. This tenor has already made a name for himself as a Lieder singer. His first CD, with works by Schubert, Beethoven, Grieg, Britten and Trojahn, was judged by the Metropolitan Opera Guild to be one of the top fifteen best new releases in 2009. This was followed by »Die schöne Müllerin/Auf dem Strom (on the river)«, »Dichterliebe/Hirt auf dem Felsen (shepherd on the rock)« and, in the autumn of 2012, »Generation«. Daniel Behle sings at leading opera houses in Europe, among them La Scala Milan, the Vienna State Opera, Bavarian State Opera, the Opéra National de Lyon, Opéra National de Paris, Grand Théătre de Genève, Cologne Opera, the Staatsoper in Berlin and the Royal Opera in Stockholm.
