During the 2015/16 season Sebastian Geyer, who joined the ensemble at Oper Frankfurt in 2010/11, sings Fürst Basil Basilowitsch in concert performances of Lehar's Der Graf von Luxemburg, Jaroslav Prus in Die Sache Makropulos/The Makropoulos Case and Háraschta and Moralès in new productions of Das schlaue Füchslein/The Cunning Little Vixen and Carmen. This baritone's most recent roles for the company have included Satan / Alexandre / Sykoš in the first ever performances in Frankfurt of three one act operas by Bohuslav Martinů, Creonte in a new production of Cesti's LʼOrontea, Sebastian (The Tempest), Count Almaviva (Die Hochzeit des Figaro/Le nozze di Figaro), Dr. Falke (Die Fledermaus), Aeneas (Dido and Aeneas - which also went on tour to the 2013 Edinburgh Festival) and the title roles in Handel's Giulio Cesare in Egitto and Telemann's Orpheus. Sebastian Geyer worked at the Stadttheater in Gießen and Theater Heidelberg before coming to Frankfurt. Recent guest engagements have included appearances at the Staatstheaters in Stuttgart, and Wiesbaden, Nationaltheater Mannheim and the title roles in Vivaldi's Montezuma and Tito Manlio in Schwetzingen. He was nominated for »Singer of the Year 2006« in Opernwelt magazine for his interpretation of Don Giovanni.
