Anja Fidelia Ulrich
Soprano
The soprano Anja Fidelia Ulrich enjoyed a triumph when she sang Gutrune (role debut) in Frankfurt’s new Götterdämmerung in 2012. She has appeared regularly at Oper Frankfurt since the 2006/07 season, in roles including Barbarina in Die Hochzeit des Figaro/Le nozze di Figaro, a Maid in Der Zwerg/The Dwarf, a Maid in Elektra, the Female Chorus in The Rape of Lucretia and Miss Wingrave in Owen Wingrave. These were followed in 2011 by two Wagner roles: Gerhilde and Zemina (concert performances of Die Feen/The Fairies) – which led to her being engaged for Die Walküre in Essen. She also sang the 1st Lady in Die Zauberflöte at Oper Frankfurt in 2012. Anja Fidelia Ulrich studied singing and opera in Würzburg, where she graduated with distinction. She has enjoyed success at many singing competitions and was awarded a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Verband and the Albert and Paula Salomon Foundation in 2004.
