Lisa Wedekind began her operatic career in Frankfurt where, apart from Siegrune, she has sung Marzelline (Le nozze di Figaro), Annio (La clemenza di Tito), a Flower Maiden and 1st Squire in Parsifal, Amore and Valetto in L´incoronazione di Poppea, Susanne in Ein Ehemann vor der Tür/A Husband at the Door and Karolka in Jenufa. In 2009/10, as a member of the ensemble in Magdeburg, she sang Mercédès in Carmen and La Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi. She is now a member of the Stadttheater in Münster, where her roles have included Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Flora (La Traviata) and Josepha (Im weißen Rössel). Guest engagements have included Siegrune at the Deutsche Nationaltheater in Weimar, Karolka at the Hamburg State Opera and National Theatre in Mannheim, Alkmene in Künneke’s Die Ehe im Kreise/A Marriage in Crisis at Cologne Opera and Nerone in L’incoronazione di Poppea in Gießen. She is also much in demand for recitals and oratorio work.
