Annette Dasch, Daniel SchmutzhardBerlin born Annette Dasch is one of the leading sopranos of our time. Opera houses where she has performed have included the Berlin Staatsoper, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Teatro Real in Madrid, Teatre del Liceu Barcelone, La Scala Milan and the Metropolitan Opera in New York, where she returns in 2014 to sing Eva in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg. She returns to the Bayreuth Festival in 2014 for Elsa in Lohengrin. Roles at Oper Frankfurt were Countess Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro and, in 2013/14, Elisabeth in Tannhäuser. Venues where Annette Dasch has appeared in recital have included the Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Concergebouw Amsterdam, Schubertiade and Schleswig Holstein Music Festival. She is under exclusive contract to Sony. Her first CD, Armida, was awarded an ECHO prize in 2008. The Austrian baritone Daniel Schmutzhard has been a member of the ensemble at Oper Frankfurt since 2011/12. Roles here in the 2013/14 season were Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Harlekin (Ariadne auf Naxos), Wolfram von Eschenbach (Tannhäuser) and Albert (Werther). Recent guest engagements have included appearances at the Staatsoper in Berlin, the Komische Oper Berlin , in Tokyo and at the Glyndebourne Festival, as well as concerts, Lieder and oratorio work, in the Musikverein in Vienna, the Berlin Philharmonie, Concergebouw Amsterdam, Salzburg Easter Festival and the Schubertiade. He returns to the Bregenz Festival in 2014 to sing Papageno aagain (Die Zauberflöte and Alfred in the Geschichten aus dem Wiener Wald/Tales from the Vienna Woods.
