Assistant Chorus Master needed

From September 1st 2015 – 29th February 2016 to take over while the present one is on paternity leave.

Duties include attending all chorus rehearsals and auditions for the chorus, training the various groups in the chorus, and extra chorus, rehearsing revivals and, when needed, conducting back stage during rehearsals and performances.

The successful candidate could also take over leading the children's chorus, if this was of interest.

We need someone passionate about working with a chorus, who feels up to the task of working in a house with many new productions and revivals, and with very good piano skills (good sight-reading a must).

Oper Frankfurt is one of the world's leading, and most productive, opera houses.

Chorus Master is Tilman Michael
(whose previous chorus was voted 2014 „Opera Chorus of the Year“ by Opernwelt magazine).

Applications should be sent by email to (michael.schulte@buehnen-frankfurt.de)
(only passport size photos please)
