Grazia Doronzio
Earlier this season Grazia Doronzio sang Nannetta in Falstaff at Oper Frankfurt. Now she is back to sing Zerlina (role debut) in this new production of Don Giovanni. She made her very successful debut at Oper Frankfurt in 2011/12, singing Suzel in concert performances of L’amico Fritz alongside Joseph Calleja, returning later for Mimì in La Bohème. She has sung Mimì at the Atlanta Opera, the Michigan Opera Theatre, Angers Nantes Opéra and, most recently, in Toronto. Other roles in recent seasons have included Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) in Hamburg and Valencia and Anna (Le Villi) at the Klangvokal Musikfestival in Dortmund. She also sang in Mozart's Requiem with the Boston Symphony Orchestra under James Levine, Isifile (Giasone) at the Chicago Opera Theatre, Micaëla (Carmen) at the Savonlinna Festival and Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) at the Michigan Opera Theatre. Grazia Doronzio has enjoyed great success at many competitions, including the 2008 Francisco Viñas International Singing Competition. This Italian soprano graduated from the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program.
