Grazia Doronzio

Soprano

Grazia Doronzio
Grazia Doronzio made her highly successful debut at Oper Frankfurt in 2011/12, singing Suzel in concert performances of L’amico Fritz alongside Joseph Calleja. She then returned for Mimì in La Bohème, a role she has sung for many other opera houses including Atlanta Opera, Michigan Opera Theatre, Angers Nantes Opéra and, most recently, in Toronto. Nannetta (role debut) in this new production of Falstaff will be followed up at Oper Frankfurt this season by Zerlina in a new production of Don Giovanni directed by Christof Loy. This Italian soprano graduated from the Metropolitan Opera in New York's renowned Lindemann Young Artist Development Program. Recent roles have included Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) at the Staatsoper in Hamburg and in Valencia, Anna (Le Villi) at the Klangvokal Musikfestival in Dortmund, Isifile (Giasone) at the Chicago Opera Theatre, Micaëla (Carmen) at the Savonlinna Festival and Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) at Michigan Opera Theatre - she also sang in Mozart's Requiem with the Boston Symphony Orchestra under James Levine. Grazia Doronzio has enjoyed great success at a number of competitions, including the 2008 Francisco Viñas International Singing Competition.
