Alice Coote enjoyed great success at Oper Frankfurt as Charlotte (Werther), Marguerite (La Damnation de Faust), Sesto (La Clemenza di Tito) and gave an unforgettable performance of Schubert’s Winterreise - now she returns for another recital. This British mezzo-soprano is a regular guest at leading opera houses around the world, including the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Opéra national de Paris, San Francisco Opera, the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Glyndebourne and Salzburg festivals. Her repertoire includes Orfeo (Orfeo ed Euridice), Sesto in Handel’s Giulio Cesare in Egitto, Idamante (Idomeneo), Octavian (Der Rosenkavalier) and Carmen. She is also much in demand as a Lieder singer and gives regular recitals with her pianst Julius Drake in places including the Wigmore Hall in London, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Carnegie Hall New York.
