Concerts for children - Romeo and Juliet

The Concerts for Children series continues this season with musicians from the Museumsorchester of Oper Frankfurt. Karsten Januschke, a coach and Kapellmeister at Oper Frankfurt, conducts Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet in December and March and GMD Sebastian Weigle leads a fifty-fifty concert in July, when half the musicians will be pupils from schools in Frankfurt and the other half members of our orchestra.

These concerts are suitable for children aged 6 and over and last an hour or more without a break.
Our series of concerts for children by members of the Frankfurter Opern- und Museumsorchester continues this season.

They are an hour + long (without interval) and suitable for children aged 6 and over who understand some German.

Sergei Prokofiev's ROMEO AND JULIET

Two quarrelling families, the Montagues and Capulets, live in the Italian town of Verona. Fights have broken out in the streets for generations, with people from both sides getting killed. One evening Romeo and Juliet meet at a party and fall in love. They don’t know what the future holds when they realise that they both come from the warring families.
