Janáček's Adventures of Mr Brouček

Puccini's La Bohème opens the new season


Alfred Kirchner's popular production of Puccini's La Bohème is back from September 5th, with wonderful new singers in the cast. The show on September 28th, which begins at 3.30pm, is an Opera for Families performance: an adult purchasing a ticket can apply for 3 free tickets for people under the age on 19. There is also FREE CHILD MINDING during the performance.

WORLD PREMIERE OF Reihm's Sirens

opens on September 15th at 6pm

Sirens – Scenes of Desire and Destruction was commissioned by Oper Frankfurt. The composer Rolf Riehm (*1937) has been fascinated about the myth of the Sirens for many years. Martyn Brabbins conducts, Tobias Heyder directs. A very famous German actor Michael Mendl (Odysseus when old) is taking part. The incredible countertenor Lawrence Zazzo is Odysseus when young and his Kirke (Circe) is our wonderful Tanja Ariane Baumgartner.
