Jendrik Springer works mainly in two spheres of music:
he is regularly sought after by many of the world’s most famous conductors to assist in preparing singers for their roles - particularly for operas by Wagner and Strauss - including Christian Thielemann (Ring des Nibelungen at the Bayreuth Festival and Vienna State Opera, Der Rosenkavalier and Elektra at the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden and Die Frau ohne Schatten at the Salzburg Festival, to name but a few), Sir Simon Rattle (Parsifal at the Vienna State Opera), Fabio Luisi and Franz Welser-Möst.
He is also works with many of the world’s leading international singers as accompanist in recitals. He has appeared regularly with singers including Ricarda Merbeth and Krassimira Stoyanova, with whom he appeared in 2009/10 at Oper Frankfurt and in a duet recital at the 2010 Munich Opera Festival with Vesselina Kasarova. He has played many times at the Musikverein in Vienna (recitals with singers including Janina Baechle and Adrian Eröd) and in 2012 he will appear in recital with Marlis Petersen for the first time at the Wigmore Hall in London and Carnegie Hall in New York.
