Marco di Felice
Baritone
Marco di Felice, who made his debut in Frankufrt in 2011/12 as Jago, is an unusual multi-talent. He worked as a graphic designer and illustrator and then graduated in history with summa cum laude ab before beginning to study singing. A great many successes at international singing competitions, including the „Giuseppe Di Stefano“ and Arena di Verona competitions, helped him to obtain invitations from important houses. Guest appearances in Verdi operas have included performances at the Metropolitan Opera New York (Un ballo in maschera), the Vienna State Opera (La forza del destino), the Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv (La Traviata), La Scala Milan (I due Foscari), the Arena di Verona (Aida), Leipzig Oper (Macbeth) and the Semperoper in Dresden (Un ballo in maschera). He returns to Frankfurt to sing Renato in this year’s revival of Maskenball/Un ballo in maschera. Future engagements between now and 2015 include productions in Marseille (Aida and La Gioconda), Turin (La Traviata) and the Vienna State Opera (Andrea Chénier). He first sang the role of Jago in 2006. He is also in demand for his roles in Cavalleria rusticana and Tosca .
