Olaf Reinecke studied sport and movement, concentrating on dance, at Hamburg University. He also specialised in modern and contemporary dance and choreographers with whom he has worked have included Jan Pusch, Juliane Rößler, Britta Lieberknecht, Ilona Pászthy, Karel Vanûk and Chris Haring. He became artistic assistant to Antje Pfundtner after they worked on some joint projects together. Recent engagements have included projects directed by Katharina Thalbach, Vera Nemirova, Günter Krämer, Philipp Kochheim, Hardy Rudolz and Bernd Mottl. Olaf Reinecke is also much sought after as a teacher of dance and movement. In 2009 he and the Bonn born cheographer and dancer Bärbel Stenzenberger founded the »Tanzkompanie bo komplex«.
