Special Events 2013/2014
Opera for Families 2013/2014
Oper Frankfurt's series Opera for Families continues this season. The special thing about this series is that an adult purchasing a ticket is entitled to up to THREE FREE tickets for children and young people.
Intendant Bernd Loebe hosts the Loving Opera series again in 2013/14. These events take place in the Holzfoyer, quite late in the evening, after selected performances of new productions during the season: His guests include artists involved in the production in question. Ticket price includes a glass or two of local wine. Information about those taking part will appear in the bi-monthly brochures and on this site when known. These events are in German but not all the artists speak German so, there is often quite a bit of English too!
Opera Finale 2013/2014
Frederick Delius’ opera Romeo und Julia auf dem Dorfe/A Village Romeo and Juliet is the last new production in the 2013/14 season and therefore the starting point for this year's Opera Finale - a series of events before the summer holidays linked to the last new production every season.
Open Day at the Opera
The Städische Bühnen, the opera company and theatre next door, opened their doors again this season, on September 22nd 2013, to an astounding number of people who wanted to come and look around behind the scenes and talk to people who work here, from Intendant to stage hand.
