Nathaniel Webster
Nathaniel Webster was a member of the ensemble at Oper Frankfurt from 2002- 2008. During his time with the company his, very varied, roles included Prince Tarquinius (The Rape of Lucretia), the Traveller (Death in Venice), Ned Keene (Peter Grimes), Count Almaviva (Die Hochzeit des Figaro/Le nozze di Figaro), Albert (Werther), Dandini (La Cenerentola), Don Alvaro (Il viaggio a Reims), Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Schaunard (La Bohème), Silvano (Ein Maskenball/Un ballo in maschera), Melot (Tristan und Isolde) and Mercutio (Roméo et Juliette). He then returned as a guest in 2009 for a new production of Angels in America and the first run of this new production of La fanciulla del West last season. Other engagements have taken this American baritone to, amongst others, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Dorset Opera, De Nationale Reisopera Enschede and the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels. He sang the title role in concert performances of Billy Budd at the Musical Olympus Festival in St. Petersburg. In 2011 he took part in a performance of Getty's Plump Jack with the Munich Radio Orchestra under Ulf Schirmer, which is available on CD. Other recordings include Roberto Sierra's Missa Latina, which was composed for him, with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra in 2008
