The German-American conductor Dirigent Steven Sloane was First Kapellmeister at Oper Frankfurt from 1988-1992. He was Chief Conductor of the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra and has been General Music Director of the Bochum Symphoniker since 1994, for which, with his help and intervention, a concert hall is being built in a new Music Concert in Bochum; an example of his artistic and political authority in culture. Steven Sloane studied viola, music studies and conducting at the University of California in Los Angeles.
