Quinn Kelsey is back in Frankfurt, where he made his triumphal debut in the 2012/13 season with the role of Guy de Montfort in Verdi's Die sizilianische Vesper/The Sicilian Vespers. This winner of the Metropolitan Opera's 2015 »Beverly Sills Artist Award« is appearing here in recital for the first time and sings Enrico Ashton in two performances of the revival of Lucia di Lammermoor. This Hawaiian baritone recently sang Giorgio Germont (La traviata) at the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto, Marcello (La Bohème) at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, where he is a regular guest, made his debut at Santa Fe Opera as Rigoletto, a role he has sung at Zurich Opera and will sing at the Opéra National in Paris in 2016. In a short while he can be heard at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, as Giorgio Germont in La Traviata. He is a regular guest at the opera houses in Chicago, San Francisco and at English National Opera in London. Other recent engagements have included a recording of Mahler 8 with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra under Michael Tilson Thomas, alongside Elza van den Heever, a former member of the ensemble in Frankfurt.
