Giorgio Dal Monte

Cembalo and piano

Giorgio Dal Monte, born in 1982, and Sara Mingardo perform together regularly. This young cembalo player, another artist passionate about early music and a member of several ensembles, including the Renaissance and Baroque ensemble Rosso Porpora, has played at Sara Mingardo's annual international masterclass in Sacile, part of the »Laboratorio Musica Barocca«, since 2010. After studying piano at the »Arrigo Pedrollo« conservatoire in Vicenza, from where Giorgio Dal Monte graduated with distinction, he began studying with Stefania Redaelli and took part in many masterclasses, specialising in chamber music. He won the »Premio Speciale« at the 23rd »Città di Conegliano« international competition for vocal chamber music, accompanying the alto Alessandra Visentin. Giorgio Dal Monte also studied organ at the conservatoire in Vicenza, participating in masterclasses held by Pier Damiano Peretti, Lorenzo Ghielmi and Michael Radulescu, graduating in »Historical Organ Playing« with distinction. He continued studying cembalo and basso continuo and was accompanist for the »Baroque Singing Classes« in the Musica Antica department at the conservatoire in Vicenza. Giorgio Dal Monte has appeared in concert series and festivals including the »Il Clavicembalo a San Marco« in Milan, »Summer concerts in the Schlosskirche (castle's church)« in Friedrichshafen, »I Concerti di San Girolamo« and »I Concerti dell’Accademia« in Ravenna, the Musica Antiqua Festival in Bruges, the Festival Oude Muziek in Utrecht, the International Young Artist’s Presentation in Antwerp and the Tagen für Alte Musik in Berlin.
