Jaeil Kim is making his debut at Oper Frankfurt singing Thibault in Les Vêpres siciliennes and then sings a role in the new production of Capriccio. This tenor from Seoul studied at the Hanyang University there before going to the University for Music and Theatre in Munich. He recently sang Ippolito in Paisiello's Der eingebildete Sokrates/Conceited Socrates. He also enjoyed great success in academy productions including Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria (Eurimaco), Jost's Die arabische Nacht/The Arabian Night (Karpati), Carmen (Dancaïro) and Silent Songs into the Wild, an evening of works by Schubert. He made his debut in Seoul's KBS Hall singing in La traviata and has sung in Handel's Messiah and Haydn's Theresienmesse. He joins the Opera Studio at Oper Frankfurt at the beginning of the 2017/18 season.
