During Oper Frankfurt's 2017/18 season Vincent Wolfsteiner can be heard singing the title role (role debut) in Britten's Peter Grimes, Filka Morosov (Aus einem Totenhaus/From the House of the Dead) - both new productions - and Maurizio in Adriana Lecouvreur. Roles with which he has recently enjoyed great success as a member of the ensemble in Frankfurt have included Wagner's Lohengrin, an Officer in Křenek's Der Diktator, Siegfried (Wagner's Ring), Luigi (Il tabarro) and the Drum Major (role debut) in a new production of Wozzeck. He made his debut in Frankfurt in 2014/15, singing the title role in Verdi's Otello. Before he moved to Frankfurt he was under contract to the Staatstheater in Nürnberg, where roles included Otello, Siegfried / Loge / Siegmund (Ring), Tristan (Tristan und Isolde) and Kalaf (Turandot). His extensive repertoire includes Don José (Carmen), Rodolfo (La Bohème), Riccardo (Un ballo in maschera), Des Grieux (Manon Lescaut), Andrea Chénier, Bacchus (Ariadne auf Naxos) and Florestan (Fidelio). Other theatres where Vincent Wolfsteiner has performed in recent seasons have included the Staatstheater in Darmstadt, the Landestheater in Innsbruck, Staatstheater Hannover, the Komische Oper Berlin and in Modena. Vincent Wolfsteiner won 1st prize at the 2006 Liederkranz Competition in New York. Born in Munich, he studied music in Britain and worked in his home town as a sound technician and producer before going to the USA to study singing.
