Lucy Burge worked at Oper Frankfurt for the first time in 2007/08 on this production of Billy Budd, returning for Die Sache Makropulos / The Makropoulos Case in 2011/12. She has worked with Richard Jones and Antony McDonald on many productions at theatres including the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and English National Opera in London, Grange Park Opera, Welsh National Opera, the Nationale Opera Amsterdam, the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich and Santa Fe Opera. Recent productions were Ariadne auf Naxos at Scottish Opera, Adès’ Powder her face at Irish National Opera, Parsifal at the Opéra National in Paris and Aida am Theater Magdeburg. She also works with other directors, including Katie Mitchell, Antony McDonald, Daniel Kramer, Sam Brown, Katharina Thoma and Adele Thomas. This choreographer, who was the lead dancer at Ballet Rambert from 1970 – 1985, appearing in many productions in theatres in the United Kingdom, is a founding member of The Mature Dancer's Project in London.
