Maximilian Nickel learned how to teach music at Frankfurt's University for Music and the Performing Arts and music theory at Würzburg's University for Music and is currently working for his masters in integrative music theory at the Folkwang University for Arts in Essen. Alongside teaching music theory linked to composition, aural training and analysis at the universities for arts in Stuttgart and Würzburg he also works teaching music at a school in Offenbach and as a chorus master. After being apprenticed at Oper Frankfurt in 2019 he started giving regular pre-performance talks for the house.
