This production of La sonnambula was Tina Lanik's first opera at Oper Frankfurt. Recent productions have included La traviata and Eugen Onegin at Theater Dortmund. She has directed many plays, at theatres including the Residenztheater in Munich (including Ayad Akhtar's Junk and Euripides / Sartre Die Troerinnen), Schauspielhaus Zürich (including Die Dreigroschenoper/The Threepenny Opera) and Burgtheater in Vienna (Ayar Akhtar's Geächtet/Outcast). Other engagements have taken Tina Lanik to the Schauspielhaus in Vienna, the Schauspielhaus in Düsseldorf, the Staatstheater in Stuttgart, the Deutsche Theater Berlin, Schauspielhaus Bochum, the Deutsche Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, Staatsschauspiel Hannover and Hessen's Staatstheater in Wiesbaden. She has also directed works for the Festwochen in Vienna and Steirische Autumn Festival. Tina Lanik was voted »Up and Coming Director of the Year« by the specialist magazine Theater heute in 2003.
