This Korean baritone jumped stepped in to sing the role of Conte di Luna, after the interval, during the last performance of this production of Il Trovatore. Recent engagements have included Scarpia (Tosca) and the title role in Rigoletto at the Staatsoper in Stuttgart, where he was a member of the ensemble for many years. Roles with which he enjoyed great success in Stuttgart, Darmstadt and Kassel, where he was also a member of the ensembles earlier on in his career, included Iago (Otello), Miller (Luisa Miller), Giorgio Germont (La traviata), Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor), Escamillo (Carmen), Jack Rance (La fanciulla del West) and the title role in Gianni Schicchi. Guest engagements have taken him to the Staatsoper in Hannover, Staatstheater in Wiesbaden, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Volksoper in Vienna, the Opéra du Rhin in Strassburg, Opéra de Massy, the National Opera Timisoara, to Aachen, Linz and Seoul. After studying in Seoul and Milan he joined the Young Ensemble at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, where he worked with conductors including Zubin Mehta and James Levine. Tito You enjoyed success at the Bilbao, Toulouse and renowned Francisco Viñas international singing competitions.
