After studying stage and costume design and film, Mathis Neidhardt worked creating sets and costumes at Staatsschauspiel Dresden until 2000. He has worked regularly with the director Jens-Daniel Herzog since 2002 – they have created many productions of plays and operas. Engagements have taken him to theatres including the Nationaltheater in Mannheim, Residenztheater in Munich, the Hamburg State Opera, Zurich Opera, theDeutsche Oper am Rhein, Oper und das Schauspiel in Dortmund, the Semperoper in Dresden, Theater an der Wien and the Salzburg Festival and Innsbruck Festwochen. Mathis Neidhardt also designed the sets and costumes for productions directed by Paul Esterhazy at Oper Graz and the Staatstheater in Kassel. Other directors with whom he has collaborated have included Klaus Dieter Kirst, Stefan Nolte, Hasko Weber and Thomas Langhoff. Mathis Neidhardt has worded at Oper Frankfurt before, on our unforgettable production of Lohengrin .
