Ines Kaun
Chorus Mistress

Ines Kaun became Chorus Master at Theater Heidelberg at the beginning of the 2016/17 season. This follows on from a period during which she worked as deputy chorus master and children's chorus master at the Staatstheater in Darmstadt. She studied at the »Franz Liszt« University in Weimar and University for Music in Stockholm. During this time she was also the artistic director of the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena's student chorus and assisted Berit Walther working with the boy choristers of the Jena Philharmonie. In 2011 she took over from Howard Arman, training the Leipzig International School Choir and in 2013 from Gary Graden, training the St. Jacob's Chamber Choir. In 2014 she was contracted to teach chorus conducting at Erfurt University and assisted Johannes Knecht at Oper Stuttgart. Ines Kaun has been supported by the German Musikrat's Dirigentenforum since 2013. She attended masterclasses held by Philipp Ahmann, Georg Grün, Stefan Parkman and Jörg-Peter Weigle and assisted Gijs Leenaars at the Radio Chorus in Berlin.
