Elisabeth Teige is one of Scandinavia's most sought after dramatic sopranos. This Norwegian artist studied in Trondheim and began her career taking part in the Young Artists Programme at Norwegian National Opera in Oslo, where she enjoyed a triumph singing Senta (role debut) in Der fliegende Holländer in 2015, a role she then sang in Tallinn and will be singing at Theater Lübeck and, alongside Iain Paterson, in Bergen in 2018. Elisabeth Teige recently sang Leonore (role debut) in Fidelio in Oslo, where she has also sung Cio-Cio-San (Madama Butterfly), Bea (Khairos) and Helena (Mefistofele). Engagements this season include a return to the Theater St. Gallen, where she has sung Elsa in Lohengrin. Her busy concert career has led her to the Bolschoi in Moscow, the International Orchestra Festival in Malta and the Kirsten Flagstad Festival in Hamar. She is making her debut at Oper Frankfurt, singing Senta in this revival of Der Fliegende Holländer.
