Francesco Landolfi, born in Caserta, Italy, is making his debut at Oper Frankfurt with the title role in Verdi's Rigoletto, a role he has sung at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Staatsoper Stuttgart, Oper Leipzig and the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome. Recent engagements have included Scarpia (Tosca) in Prague, Amonasro (Aida) at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Giorgio Germont (La traviata) in Florence and the title role in Nabucco in Leipzig. These are roles he has also sung at many theatres in Italy. In September 2017 he will sing the role of Stankar in Verdi's Stiffelio for the first time, at the Teatro Regio in Parma. Francesco Landolfi has also sung at Greek National Opera in Athens, the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich, the Stadttheater in Klagenfurt, the Art Music Center in Seoul and Teatro Lirico in Cagliari. This prize winning singer, who studied in Benevento, Turin and Sulmona, has worked with many leading conductors including Riccardo Muti, Renato Palumbo and Bruno Bartoletti.
