Leah Crocetto

Leah Crocetto is back in Frankfurt, where she made her debut in 2012/13 as Desdemona in Otello and returned in 2013/14 for Alice Ford in Falstaff, to sing Leonora in this new Il Trovatore. This winner of the 2010 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions recently sang Aida (role debut) San Francisco Opera, where she used to be a member of the Merola Opera Program and where roles have included Liú (Turandot), Mimì (La Bohème) and Verdi's Luisa Miller. Plans this season include Aida at Washington National Opera and Seattle Opera and Floria Tosca (role debut) in Pittburgh. She made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York in 2015/16, singing Liú. Other recent engagements have included appearances at the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto, Opera Philadelphia, Santa Fe Opera, the Glimmerglass Festival, English National Opera and in Venice, Verona, Tel Aviv and Tokyo. She sang the role of Leonora for the first time in 2011, at the Opéra National de Bordeaux, where she recently sang the title role in Semiramide. Conductors with whom she has worked have included Gustavo Dudamel, Donald Runnicles, Riccardo Muti and Nicola Luisotti.
