Irene Bauer, born in Vienna, joined the ballet ensemble at the Vienna State Opera after completing her studies. She danced in classical and contempory works and took part in many of the Vienna Philharmonic's New Year's Concerts. Whilst there she worked with many international choreographers including John Neumeier, Heinz Spoerli, Maja Plissetskaja, Vladimir Malakhov and Renato Zanella. She worked as a solo dancer at the Dance Theatre Ensemble at the Tirolean Landestheater. She was a soloist at the Landestheater in Linz's Dance Ensemble from 2006-2013, after which she became a member of the ProART Company under the artistic direction of Martin Dvořák. Irene Bauer has also performed at the Bregenz Festival.
