Hermann Feuchter and Elisabeth Stöppler have worked together many times since their Oper Frankfurt production of Neunzehnhundert / Nineteenhundred in the Bockenheimer Depot in 2010/11 – including Saul at the Staatstheater in Braunschweig, Norma at the Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen and the Staatstheater in Mainz and they are currently cooking up a new production of Lulu at the Nationaltheater in Weimar. Other projects have included set designs for Pique Dame at Theater Chemnitz, Così fan tutte at the Volksoper in Vienna and Macbeth at Theater Bielefeld. Other engagements have taken him to Tokyo (A Florentine Tragedy / Gianni Schicchi), the Salzburg and Bregenz festivals (scenic installation of Georg Friedrich Haas’ Die schöne Wunde / The Beautiful Wound), Geneva (world premiere of Michael Jarrell's Galilée), Hamburg (L’incoronazione di Poppea wit Karoline Gruber), Erfurt (Peter Aderhold's Luther), Munich (Busoni's Doktor Faust) and Brussels, Zürich, Stuttgart, Darmstadt, Nürnberg and Essen. Hermann Feuchter has designed many sets for Oper Frankfurt in the past with directors including Anselm Weber, Nicolas Brieger, Veit Volkert and Barbara Mundel. He also works as a painter and installation artist. Places where his works have been exhibited have included Münster, Kassel, Frankfurt, Berlin and Vienna.
